Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• 8-hour various day shifts, Monday through Friday
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week contract
• On-call requirements include 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week with occasional additional call as needed
• 30-minute response time required when on call - must be ready in the OR
• A personal vehicle is required due to the 30-minute on-call response time
• Every 3rd-4th weekend and holiday rotation required
• Assigned 4-5 operating rooms per day across 21 ORs covering all specialties
• Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, WI RN License or compact RN license
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (diploma required)
• Minimum 3+ years of OR experience with anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Experience with Cell Saver, Belmont, and Level I equipment required
• Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience required
• Prior experience with conscious sedation is a plus
• Skills required include assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes, sterile techniques with central lines, arterial lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters, starting IVs, drawing labs, and setting up medication pumps
• Assist anesthesia providers with heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries
• Main focus on the cardiothoracic program with involvement across a variety of specialties
• Must be flexible, a strong critical thinker, and comfortable managing change and performing downtime tasks as needed
• 2-week orientation process with training for additional anesthesia skills as needed
• Scrub colors provided
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during the orientation week or holidays when the unit is closed

This facility is a full-service hospital featuring 21 operating rooms that cover all surgical specialties, with a strong emphasis on its cardiothoracic program. The facility provides a dynamic and fast-paced environment where clinical staff support anesthesia providers across a wide range of surgical cases, including heart surgeries, traumas, elective procedures, and general surgeries.
