Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and detailed health assessments of female patients, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Utilize advanced nurse practitioner skills to provide specialized services, including but not limited to IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and the fitting of pessaries.
• Collaborate effectively with supervising physicians and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Act as an advocate for patients and their families, actively addressing their physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive needs.
• Coordinate care by maintaining strong communication with other healthcare team members and integrating services for a seamless patient experience.
• Review and manage medical records, ensuring timely follow-up and essential diagnostic test orders to facilitate comprehensive care.
• Maintain proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation, tracking, and efficient communication.
• Apply principles of safety and legal standards consistently across all interactions, ensuring patient confidentiality and risk management are prioritized.
• Stay composed during emergency situations, applying established protocols while promptly alerting the necessary personnel for urgent intervention.
• Adopt a service-oriented approach in all patient interactions, fostering trust and rapport to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas, along with necessary credentials such as CDS and DEA.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner role is required.
• Eligibility to participate in state-funded programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring access to comprehensive care for all patients.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 1 year is required, candidates with more extensive experience in women's health, particularly in high-volume clinical settings, will be favored. Familiarity with advanced procedures related to women's health is a significant plus.

Compensation and Benefits
