Hourly Wage Estimate This represents the good faith estimate of the hourly wage range we reasonably expect to pay for this position upon hire, depending on factors such as the selected candidate's experience, training, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and operational needs. In select cases, and depending on market conditions or exceptional candidate qualifications, compensation may exceed this range, provided it aligns with applicable law and our compensation policies. Responsibilities Supervise a staff of dishwashers. Assume dishwashing responsibilities for all Back of House (BOH) areas. Responsible for all aspects of daily cleaning in the kitchens and catering events. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Wash dishes, take out trash, deep clean equipment in the kitchens and other food and beverage areas. Clean walk-in areas, floors, and perform other duties as assigned. Interview, hire, train employees and manage inventory. Ensure all ware washing equipment is in working order. Maintain cleanliness in all back of the house areas including kitchens and walk‑ins. Help with delivery of food for banquet events and breakdown stations at the conclusion of events. Drive and maintain the kitchen recycling program. Guide stewarding activities to provide a smooth, efficient, cost‑effective operation, including labor management and inventory control. Communicate daily with Chef and Catering Operations Manager regarding status of daily activities and upcoming events. Maintain control over food and beverage porcelain, glass, silver, cookware, and service equipment inventories. Prepare department storeroom/purchase requisitions, ensuring operational costs stay within forecasted budgetary guidelines. Review daily payroll report, maintaining labor cost within established budgetary limits. Ensure consistent compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Minimum Education, Training and Experience The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School Diploma or a General Education Development (GED) degree; equivalent level of education and experience. At least two years of Food & Beverage supervisory experience required. Stewarding or kitchen related experience strongly preferred. Must possess basic computer skills. Qualifications Language Skills Read, write, and understand English. Spanish language helpful but not required. Follow verbal and written instructions; present information in one‑on‑one, small, and large group situations to customers, management, and employees. Mathematical Skills Apply basic math concepts; calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, portions, percentages, and volume. Reasoning Ability Carry out general written or oral instructions. Multitask, prioritize work and pay attention to detail. Manual Dexterity Use a computer and office machines and equipment. Physical Communication Talk/express and/or exchange ideas and hear/perceiving sounds. Physical Demands Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted on a regular and continuing basis. Push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs assisted. Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning/inspection tasks. Grasp, write, stand, sit, walk/move, repetitive motions, bending and climbing. Working Conditions and Hazards Work is regularly performed in a loud dishroom area. Exposure to hot and cold water, food fumes, chemical fumes, or airborne particles. May be exposed to extreme heat or extreme cold and moving mechanical parts. Humid and hot conditions and cleaning chemicals. Supplemental Information Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including opening, mid‑day, closing shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
