Our organization is on the lookout for board-certified or board-eligible neurohospitalists to become part of a vibrant and expanding team of neurologists and seven neurohospitalists in Kansas City, MO.
Position OverviewThe role involves 100% inpatient responsibilities, with the neurohospitalist rotating at a comprehensive stroke center, supported by residents and advanced practice providers. Additionally, the neurohospitalist will oversee busy primary stroke centers.
Our facility offers the most advanced stroke care in the region, treating over 4,000 patients annually with cutting-edge stroke-reversal therapies.
We are recognized as a leader in employing both pharmacological and mechanical methods to counteract the permanent and debilitating impacts of ischemic stroke.
In 1993, our physicians conducted one of the first intra-arterial stroke reversal procedures globally, marking a significant milestone in stroke treatment.
Our hospital serves as the primary teaching institution for the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Medical School, offering opportunities for academic appointments based on experience.
The neurology residency program includes three residents who will gain educational experiences in our comprehensive treatment center, learning to diagnose and manage complex neurological disorders across various care environments.

The Neuroscience Institute is a global frontrunner in utilizing both drug and mechanical interventions to mitigate the debilitating effects of ischemic stroke. We bring together highly specialized neuroscientists to deliver comprehensive care for complex neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, brain tumors, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, multiple sclerosis, headaches, facial pain, aneurysms, intracerebral hemorrhages, memory disorders, hearing and balance issues, and sleep disorders. Our multidisciplinary team employs the latest minimally invasive spinal surgical techniques to address both acute and chronic back pain, supported by a fellowship-trained neurosurgery team with diverse subspecialties.
