JSG is recruiting a Scientist - II (Associate) for our client in San Diego CA.

• Express and purify therapeutic proteins and critical reagents to support early discovery projects.
• Test and characterize the biophysical quality of therapeutic proteins to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain various cell lines in culture for protein expression and detailed analysis.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a global network of scientists and cross-functional teams to support biologics inventory and transfer requests.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in molecular or cell biology, biochemistry, or related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in culturing mammalian cells for protein expression.
• Expertise in antibody and protein purification techniques, including affinity chromatography.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with protein characterization techniques such as ion exchange chromatography, size exclusion chromatography, and capillary electrophoresis.
• Knowledge of protein binding assays including ELISA, BLI, and cell-based binding assays.
