Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' needs, identifying specific areas for therapeutic focus.

• Develop and implement tailored counseling programs for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based therapy techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, documenting progress, treatment plans, and modifications as needed, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Provide crisis intervention as necessary, equipping clients with coping strategies for immediate challenges.

• Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training to enhance expertise in therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Freedom House, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families facing various challenges such as relationship difficulties, mental health disorders, trauma, and life transitions. Our clinic serves a varied demographic, reflecting the multicultural community of Greenbelt and surrounding areas. You will play an essential role in helping clients navigate their emotional landscapes, enabling them to establish healthier relationships and improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.

• Active LMFT licensure in the state of Maryland.

Compensation and Benefits\n
