Key Account Manager - NY

Guardant tests help improve outcomes across all stages of care, including screening, monitoring for recurrence, and treatment selection for patients with advanced cancer. Key Account Manager Role The Key Account Manager position is created to coordinate and scale selling activities across Guardant Health’s top accounts, including academic medical centers, IDNs, and GPOs. The role is national in scope, managing relationships with enterprise‑level health systems and ensuring contractual and clinical alignment with Guardant’s precision testing platform. Responsibilities Develop champions/advocates at target accounts and secure commitment to implement Guardant initiatives that improve patient testing. Identify opportunities for improvement in patient testing, propose protocols or initiatives, and obtain affirmative decisions from account representatives. Conduct pre‑ and post‑customer document alignment with internal stakeholders and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholder calls. Present to C‑suite decision makers using PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, and in‑person meetings. Develop and implement innovative strategic market‑access initiatives to broaden Guardant test access with IDNs, GPOs, and academic centers. Work cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders and Field Sales Leadership to secure access to Guardant’s testing platforms. Oversee company‑wide initiatives relating to Key Accounts, IDN and GPO communication and operational efficiency. Evaluate complex scenarios requiring interpretation of business objectives, regulation, and law. Develop and maintain annual business plans for key corporate relationships, including economic modeling, clinical data collection, and utilization evaluation. Share evolving geographic GPO, IDN, and healthcare reform trends to inform strategic plans. Participate in sales meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and laboratory market intelligence sessions. Lead cross‑functional teams or projects such as Mobile Phlebotomy Program Management, Portal Upgrades, and other initiatives to enable test access. Serve on work groups or committees and participate in training and strategy activities as requested. Qualifications 10+ years of commercial experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences, with at least 7 years focused on enterprise‑level health system partnerships and C‑suite engagement. Demonstrated success in driving enterprise adoption of precision medicine, genomics, or advanced diagnostics solutions. Executive presence with ability to build trusted relationships with CEOs, CMOs, VPs, Medical Directors, and Precision Medicine Directors. Ability to translate clinical, operational, and financial strategies into board‑room ready plans. Strong navigation of organizational complexity and execution of multi‑stakeholder initiatives. Proven sales performance focused on director‑level and C‑suite decision makers. Team player who works effectively at all levels, independently, and prioritizes urgency to meet timelines. Based in a major market with proximity to an airport. Preferred Qualifications Track record of leading complex sales cycles across IDNs and national accounts. Experience in precision medicine, genomics, or advanced diagnostics solutions. Master of Business Administration preferred. Education Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a business‑related field is required; MBA preferred. Compensation Base salary ranges: Primary location: $145,600 – $200,200 Other U.S. locations: $115,600 – $158,950 Colorado: $122,400 – $168,300 Hybrid Work Model Eligible employees living within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; all other days are flexible.
