This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative environment where you'll have visibility across project operations and play a key role in maintaining project financial health.Why This Opportunity Stands OutHybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, Fridays remotePotential for long-term extensionCollaborative team of Project Accountants and AP professionalsHands-on involvement with high-profile construction projectsOpportunity to expand your expertise in construction accounting, project billing, and job costingFlexible work arrangement with potential for additional remote flexibility after trainingWhat You'll DoManage project invoicing and billing based on contract terms, schedules of values, and project costsReview job cost data to ensure project expenses are captured accuratelySupport project financial reporting, reconciliations, and account analysisReview contracts, proposals, and change documentation to ensure billing complianceProcess and track subcontractor documentation and contractual requirementsCoordinate collections activities and resolve billing discrepanciesManage lien releases, tier releases, and supporting payment documentationPrepare certified payrolls, union documentation, and project compliance reportsSupport external audits and project billing reviewsPartner with Project Managers, General Contractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate project financialsWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications3+ years of Project Accounting or Construction Accounting experienceStrong understanding of job costing and project billingExperience processing invoices and managing project financial documentationConstruction industry experience is requiredStrong reconciliation and reporting skillsIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with Vista ERPExperience supporting subcontractors or specialty contractorsKnowledge of certified payroll, union reporting, and construction compliance documentationBachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldIdeal BackgroundsYou'll likely be successful in this role if you've worked as a:Project AccountantConstruction AccountantBilling Specialist (Construction)Job Cost AccountantProject Coordinator with accounting responsibilitiesExperience from commercial construction, specialty contractors, mechanical contractors, electrical contractors, or general contractors is highly valued.Work EnvironmentYou'll join a supportive accounting team consisting of Project Accountants and AP professionals in a fast-paced construction environment.
