Technical Writer

Supporting a mission-critical DoD software development program, the full-time remote Technical Writer will develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense standards. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain technical documentation for software development, system sustainment, and acquisition activities Develop software requirements documentation, user guides, training materials, and operational documentation Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex concepts into clear documentation and maintain version-controlled repositories Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience in DoD software development or modernization programs Experience with version-controlled documentation repositories and collaborative documentation platforms Proficiency in using Government-approved generative AI tools and digital authoring technologies Active Secret Security Clearance
