Petroff Amshen LLP is a New York consumer protection and foreclosure defense firm, and we are looking for a litigation associate who wants real cases, real courtroom time, and real impact from the start.

We represent homeowners and consumers against the largest lenders and servicers in the country. Our attorneys have won appellate reversals against major national lenders, and we litigate every stage of a case, from the answer through trial and appeal. When we win, a family keeps their home. That is the work.

•    No billable-hour requirement. You are measured on your advocacy and your results, not the hours you log.

•    Real courtroom experience, fast. You will argue motions, appear for conferences, and stand up in court regularly, not once a year.

•    Depositions. Taking and defending depositions is a core part of the job, not something you wait years to touch.

•    Own your cases. You manage your own docket with partner support, making the strategic calls instead of just drafting someone else's.

What you will do:

Handle consumer protection and foreclosure defense matters from intake through resolution. Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery and depositions, prepare cases for trial, and appear in state and federal court. Work directly with clients whose homes and financial security are on the line.

What we are looking for:

•    Admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey (required).

•    2+ years of litigation experience.

•    Strong legal writing, sharp oral advocacy, and the judgment to run a case.

•    A real interest in consumer rights and standing up for ordinary people against well-funded opponents.

Compensation and logistics

•    Salary: $110,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience.

•    Schedule: Full-time, in-office at our Brooklyn office.
