Director, Commercial Supply Chain Readiness

About the role:

As our Global Supply Chain Launch Manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that BioNTech’s upcoming launch products are delivered to market with precision, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise will directly contribute to advancing our mission of revolutionizing healthcare through innovative solutions.

In this role, you will lead the development of a multi-year supply chain roadmap, foster collaboration with alliance partners, and drive governance structures for commercialization efforts. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping processes, readiness plans, and steering our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to align with lifecycle management goals. Your contribution:

• Drive market launches for Supply Chain with focus on US 
• Develop a comprehensive SCM-launch[HA1.1][MA1.2] framework incl. process and organizational blueprints
• Create and implement effective launch processes and supply chain readiness plans in alignment with product lifecycle management, QA, RA and Commercial, MA and sales
• Build strong collaboration and governance frameworks with alliance partners for ADC pipeline commercialization
• Act with the SCM Launch- and Projects-team as SPOC for the different Product Teams
• Support developing O2C implementation in line with BioNTech’s standards and practices 
• Maintain a deep understanding of Specialty Distribution and retail pharmacy channels
• Oversee Tech Transfers for SCM and communicate impacts on Planning and Material Management
• Provide best practices to enhance the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
• Advance drug shortage process 
• Lead, mentor, and develop the SCM launch and governance team

A good match: 

• Minimum of 8-10 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry distribution and trade management.
• Understanding of US commercial and government healthcare environment, understand of ex-US distribution. 
• Proven track record in developing and managing supply chains for product launches 
• Extensive experience in commercial supply chain management for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs)
• Profound understanding of O2C processes incl. related outsourcing strategies
• Excellent project management skills to plan, lead, and complete complex projects effectively in dynamic environments
• Exceptional communication skills with experience in cross-functional stakeholder management
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams

Your benefits and remuneration:

Expected Pay Range: 168,100/year to $268,700/ year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
