Tax Technician

Job Description Executing work assigned by the PM and Senior Tax Accounting Professionals: preparing specialized forms and standard correspondence associated with each receivership appointment (e.g., IRS forms 56F, 2848, 8822) and requests for Agency Status. Preparing workpapers in support of tax compliance activities utilizing Excel. Preparing detailed inventories and administering the Automated Records Management System (ARMS) application. Supporting federal, state and local tax and payroll/withholding audit interface with payroll vendors. Updating the Tax Section’s internal compliance tracking system. Preparing payment vouchers for vendor invoices. Creating management reports and reporting tools as assigned. Minimum qualifications include: Three (3) years of corporate tax accounting experience. Proficient with C and S Corp tax compliance, financial analysis and tax accounting concepts. Ability to research and respond to inquiries from taxing authorities, former financial institution employees, customers, and FDIC personnel.
