Senior Tax ParalegalWe are seeking a Senior Tax Paralegal who will support multiple partners and the overall practice on a variety of matters.What You'll Be Doing:Handles and files Section 83(b) election filings with the IRSPrepares and files Form 8832 with the IRSPrepares and files Form 8875 with the IRSPrepares and files Form 2553 with the IRSPrepares and files Form 1023 with the IRSPrepares and files Form SS-4 with the IRS to obtain EINsPrepares and distributes communications to the IRSMonitors and handles requests from the Firm's Tax Election Filings shared mailboxCollaborates with supporting tax election team membersPrepares communications with clients and attorneys with respect to tax election filingsObtains information from, and provides information to, clientsObtains information from, and provides information to, attorneys regarding tax filingsCompiles documents and distributes for signatureIdentifies and formulates solutions to problems which may ariseCollaborates with various practice groups providing support, as neededInterfaces with IRS or other government agenciesProvides direct support to clients (using discretion to handle matters directly or involving an attorney)Handles distribution of original documentsMaintains records utilizing DMS and other technologies, as neededAssists with implementing training protocol and updating current training programs relating to certain types of tax filings.Skills We're Seeking:5+ years of experience as a Paralegal, ideally in big law2+ years of experience with corporate tax related matters, as described above in the responsibilitiesProficiency in Microsoft OfficeNice To Haves:Bachelor's Degree or Master's DegreeAbility to work overtime (overtime is paid)Ability to travel to other offices
