Job Description Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. The role of the Ops Specialist II is to help oversee and manage the programs/projects within Operations responsibility. He/she serves as the liaison amongst the various functional groups within Operations and as the single POC between Operations as a whole and the balance of the company. This role includes overseeing different program phases, from development to transition to production and production. The Ops Specialist II aids in preparing project execution plans, identifies the technical and business resources needed, reviews status of projects and budgets against the plan, manages schedules preparing / presenting status and assesses issues and develops resolutions. The Specialist is the cross functional leader of his/her program team, with frequent collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Office, and Finance, providing technical and analytical guidance to the team. The Specialist has the ultimate responsibility for managing program cost, capacity, quality and delivery on his/her assigned programs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2 years or more experience in a project/program management role
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem solving, accountable leadership and influencing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work complex issues, and ensure team meets deadlines.
• Ability to manage through changes in priorities
• Ability to drive team to implement solutions to complex problems
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project)
• Results oriented, ability to follow through on tasks, influence without authority, experience driving senior level decision making
• Highly organized, good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally, prioritize, multi-task, and manage major projects
• Equal level of comfort driving analyses or receiving direction, leading or contributing as appropriate, driving conversations or supporting as necessary
• Demonstrated Verbal and Written Communications Skills.
• Strong Presentation Skills.
• Manage Operations performance against the baseline program plan by monitoring quality, schedule and cost performance of all Operations functions.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• 5 Years or more of Aerospace experience in a Project/Program Management role
• Master's Degree, PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
• Familiarity or ability to lean manufacturing systems SAP, Solumina, and Tableau
• Experience working in represented workforce environment
• Acute problem solving and analytical abilities including process improvements or program management techniques
• A hands-on leader who builds transparency, values collaboration, holds self and team accountable, empower the team to think beyond the tasks that drive value for the business

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $86580 - $147186 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
