We're looking for a compassionate and resilient Supported Housing Worker to join our Lancashire Dispersed Housing service, helping young people develop the skills, confidence, and stability they need to thrive independently. About the role Lancashire Dispersed Housing is an OFSTED-regulated service, delivering supported accommodation across Central and North Lancashire. You’ll work with young people aged 16–25, many with complex needs, delivering tailored support, managing tenancies, and creating safe, stable living environments. Through proactive support, advocacy, and partnership working, you’ll empower individuals to overcome challenges and move forward into independent living. What you’ll be doing Provide person-centred support to young people, helping them build independence, confidence, resilience, and essential life skills. Manage a caseload of customers, completing assessments, developing tailored support plans, and regularly reviewing progress towards agreed goals. Support sustainable move-on outcomes by helping customers access education, training, employment, health, and welfare services, and secure long-term accommodation. Ensure safe, secure, and well-maintained homes by carrying out property inspections, health and safety checks, and responding appropriately to incidents and anti-social behaviour. Promote successful tenancies and licence agreements, supporting customers to understand and meet their responsibilities Work collaboratively with partner agencies, coordinating support and advocating for customers to ensure their individual needs are met. Maintain high standards of safeguarding, compliance, and record-keeping, ensuring accurate case notes, risk assessments, and adherence to organisational policies and procedures. We’d love to hear from you if you: You have the ability to act as an advocate and work in partnership with relevant agencies You have experience supporting vulnerable individuals who may have experienced adversity or complex life circumstances You are able to work effectively with individuals with a range of complex needs, including those who may present as challenging, and can respond to conflict situations in a calm, consistent, and professional manner You demonstrate perseverance and resilience, with the ability to overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes You hold (or are willing to work towards) an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People You hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle At Stepping Stone Projects, your work truly matters.
