We are hiring an attorney to work personal injury cases from the first demand through trial. Experience is not required. We will teach you the work. You will start with your own caseload, backed by case managers and paralegals, at a firm that is growing fast.

Gus Anastopoulo Law Firm represents injured people and only injured people. Our clients come to us hurt and up against an insurance company that would rather pay them as little as possible. We prepare every case as if it is going to trial, and we try the ones that need to be tried. The firm was founded as a solo practice in 2021 and has since recovered tens of millions of dollars for its clients. It is now a multi-attorney firm with clients across South Carolina, and it is still growing.

You will carry both pre-litigation and litigation files from the start, under the supervision of the firm's Legal Director. On pre-litigation files, you evaluate the claim, prepare the demand, and negotiate a resolution before suit. On litigation files, you draft pleadings and discovery, then take depositions and argue motions as you are ready for them. Our custom workflows, and case management system are built to move cases efficiently and effectively.

The Legal Director meets with you weekly on your files and reviews your written work before it goes out, until your drafts no longer need it. You sit in on depositions and mediations before you take your own, and you second-chair hearings and trials before you first-chair them. How quickly you move from second chair to first chair, and from the base of the pay range to the top, depends on your results.

• Learn to value a personal injury case, then build each of your files to maximize the client's recovery.
• Prepare demands and negotiate pre-litigation files to resolution.
• Help decide which cases need to be filed and when.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions, and press discovery until the case has what it needs.
• Prepare for and take depositions, and argue motions in state and federal court.
• Treat every case like it is going to trial. Prepare for mediation and try cases alongside firm leadership.
• Direct and work alongside the case managers and paralegal on the files you own.

• Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar. Recent bar passers awaiting admission may also apply.
• Admitted to the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, or willing to seek admission after you start.
• No prior personal injury or litigation experience required.

• Want to watch for a year before you touch a file.
• Talk down to staff.

• Support that lets you practice law. Case managers handle records, bills, and client logistics, and a litigation paralegal supports your files in suit. Your time goes to valuing, negotiating, and litigating cases.
• Direct access to leadership. You will have regular one-on-ones with firm leadership. There are no layers of management between you and the people making decisions.
• Room to grow. The firm is still being built, and attorneys who earn trust here help shape what comes next.

• $65,000 base salary.
• Bonus eligibility begins once you have shown you can handle a case on your own from start to finish. Performance bonuses are paid on attorney fees from disbursed cases, with total compensation ranging from $65,000 to $100,000.
