Job Summary: 

Tree Climbers are responsible for climbing trees to perform various tasks such as pruning, trimming, and removing trees. They assess tree health, identify potential hazards, and implement appropriate solutions to ensure the safety and aesthetics of trees. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for tree care, and are committed to maintaining safety standards.  

Key Responsibilities: 

·       Tree Pruning and Trimming: Cut away dead, obstructive, or excess branches from trees and shrubbery to improve aesthetics and structural health per ANSI 300 standards. 

·       Tree Removal: Safely cut down trees using chainsaws and other equipment, ensuring minimal damage to surrounding areas. 

·       Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. 

·       Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order. 

·       Debris Cleanup: Assist in cleanup and debris disposal after job completion. 

·       Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and maintain relevant certifications. 

Qualifications: 

·       Experience: Previous experience as a Tree Climber or similar role. 

·       Certifications: ISA Arborist certification preferred. 

·       Knowledge: Familiarity with different tree species and proper tree care techniques. 

·       Skills: Proficiency in using climbing equipment, chainsaws, woodchippers, and aerial lifts. 

·       Physical Stamina: Ability to climb trees and work at heights, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions. 

·       Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in tree climbing and removal. 

·       Driver's License: Valid driver's license preferred (Class A or B CDL preferred). 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

·       Prolonged periods of climbing and standing on ladders and raised platforms at extreme heights. 

·       Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for extended periods and push or pull up to 70 pounds. 

·       Willingness to work in all types of weather and at extreme temperatures.
