Full Charge Bookkeeper

Diversified Technology is a fast-growing software and services company serving municipalities, utilities, and public-sector organizations nationwide. Our Citizen Action Center platform, AI-powered tools, managed services, and utility billing solutions help communities operate more efficiently while providing modern digital services to their residents. We are expanding our team and creating a new Full Charge Bookkeeper role to help us scale. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys numbers—someone who can maintain financial accuracy. Position Overview The Full Charge Bookkeeper plays a key role in our financial operations, employee support, and organizational growth. This role handles day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close, billing, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position that interacts with leadership, team members, clients, and vendors. Responsibilities include managing all data entry into our accounting system to maintain accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, bank reconciliations, and financial schedules. Maintain accurate general ledger coding across software, managed services, implementation work, support contracts, hardware, and grants. Prepare invoices for SaaS subscriptions, managed services, implementation projects, and support agreements. Track contract terms, renewals, add-ons, and changes; ensure correct revenue recognition under ASC 606. Prepare financial dashboards and assist with budgeting/forecasting. Manage accounts payable, vendor setup, W-9s, and 1099 filing. Assist with audit preparation and financial compliance. Qualifications 3–7 years of accounting experience (SaaS, technology, or professional services preferred). Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and revenue recognition. Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise). Intermediate to advanced Excel/Sheets skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Preferred Skills Experience with ASC 606 for software and service contracts. Exposure to HRIS and payroll systems. Ability to improve processes, create checklists, and build structure.
