The ideal candidate is a problem solver. This role supports one or more analytical aspects of the application product life cycle within a sub-product scope (one or more application components). The analyst uses judgment and discretion to collaborate with customers. This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S.; preferred location is Fairfax, VA, but a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities Gather project specifications and create business cases and cost analyses; translate high-level business needs into detailed requirements for new capabilities or changes on existing capabilities. Analyze data to determine business problems, trends, or opportunities for process improvements. Create and execute test cases; provide root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Verify delivery of customer needs and ensure quality delivery. Build organizational and platform knowledge to advance professional track career. Mentor junior resources using functional and organizational knowledge; understand end-system impacts of changes across multiple systems. Work with customers, software engineers, architects, and other team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions. Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, requirements, and user interface design considerations for different clients. Build business cases and results measurement programs; prepare briefings for senior leadership. Participate in the full software development life cycle on Agile Scrum teams in various roles as experience and need require. Support various aspects of requirements testing (testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production defects and tie analysis back to customer impacts. Ensure compliance with required standards and obtain necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate effectively with team members, customers, partners, and management; assist with requirement walkthroughs and sprint reviews. Required qualifications to be successful 7+ years of experience as a business analyst on a software-focused team Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies Functional analysis and strong writing skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work effectively within a team under tight timelines Ability to multi-task and support multiple projects simultaneously Experience working with JIRA and Confluence Desirable qualifications Minimum Years of directly related experience: 10 years Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree Compensation and benefits CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The estimated range in the U.S. is $62,900.00 - $139,300.00. Compensation decisions are based on the facts and circumstances of each case.
