Title
Medical Assistant - Outpatient Clinic

Requirements
- One year of outpatient clinic experience required
- Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC only)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency with venipuncture required
- Charting experience preferred; experience with Epic is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Document medication and allergy history
- Perform venipuncture and label specimens
- Administer immunizations and intramuscular injections
- Assist with suture removal and biopsies
- Conduct follow-up phone calls and manage insurance verification and authorization forms

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Two references required from within the past year (supervisor or higher)
- Maximum requested time off (RTO) is 7 days; no RTO within the first two weeks
- Pre-start modules are required and may be billable (maximum 12 hours)
