The Team The Healthcare Industry Group, a subsidiary of A&M, leads transformational change in the health‑care sector. Our team works with a variety of clients, including health systems, physician groups, managed‑care organizations, medical device companies, and government agencies, to improve financial and operational performance, accelerate strategic growth, and maximize value. How You Will Contribute As a consultant, you will work closely with healthcare clients on complex assignments. You will use independent judgment and critical thinking to deliver practical solutions that add value. Revenue‑cycle projects may include, but are not limited to, due diligences, performance assessments, enterprise improvement initiatives, full‑scale implementations, and interim management for a broad range of healthcare providers and supporting services companies. Build and maintain financial and operational models to assess client performance. Benchmark internal and external data. Map processes and manage both client and internal projects. Conduct client interviews and observations to define current state and capture actionable improvement items. Create flowcharts or process maps to illustrate tasks from patient registration through final payment. Analyze and sample data for root‑cause analysis. Implement leading‑practice workflows across the full scope of revenue‑cycle operations and prepare client‑ready deliverables. Assist with the development of presentations, pitches, and proposal content. Qualifications High energy individuals with a passion for healthcare and for solving complex issues. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare, consulting, or a related field such as revenue cycle, hospital operations, accounting, audit, private equity, or healthcare operations. BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or a related healthcare field (MHA, MPH, etc.). Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills required; experience with Tableau, SQL, SPSS, Power BI, and other analytics tools is a plus. Knowledge of revenue‑cycle systems, operations, and regulations; experience with workflow redesign and system implementation preferred. Prior revenue‑cycle experience in a hospital or large health system. Experience with improving collections, reducing days‑sales‑outstanding, increasing efficiencies, and detailed knowledge of government and third‑party payors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to all levels of client personnel. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to conduct operational data analysis and synthesize information for reports, KPI metrics, and narrative development. Willingness and ability to travel as required.
