Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the finance and accounting operations of the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, and its related entities. Location: This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.Responsibilities:Event Accounting: Providing accurate, timely, and relevant recording, and reporting of financial information for multiple entitiesCollaborating with multiple departments and performing monthly reconciliations for all applicable balance sheet accountsValidate invoices and match against budgets to ensure settlement accuracyCompare event budgets to actual and research variancesCorporate Events Accounting: Manage the accounting and financial reporting activities for corporate events, ensuring revenues and expenses are accurately recorded and reportedReview and reconcile event-related revenues, expenses, accruals, and settlements to ensure completeness and accuracyEvent Payroll: Support the accounting, reconciliation, and financial oversight of payroll expenses related to eventsCoordinate with Payroll and departmental leaders to ensure payroll costs are accurately coded, allocated, and reportedReview payroll activity for accuracy and completeness, including event-specific labor charges, allocations, and budget adherenceSystems: Leverage and support key financial systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), SAP Concur, and other business applications, to facilitate and support operational efficiencyWilling to work on other ad hoc projects, as requiredOther Entities: Bookkeeping and monthly financial packagesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance0–1-year relevant experienceMeticulous, ambitious, organized, team playerStrong Work Ethic – Self-directed and goal-oriented; Available to work extended hours as requiredProblem Solver – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutionsExcellent Interpersonal Skills – Listens to others, works well in a team environmentStrong Computer Skills – Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs with advanced strength in ExcelSeeks Continuous Improvement – Adept at learning new software; Confidently engaged with technologyFeatured Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance (including voluntary coverage for spouses and children)Long term disability insuranceTicket benefits for events including Miami Dolphins games, the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, and the Miami OpenEmployee gym, subsidized lunch program, and discounts on a variety of products and services401k, Paid time off (PTO), and company holidaysThe Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium and South Florida Motorsports are proud to be Drug-Free Workplaces.
