Staff AccountantFour Squared Solutions is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant professional for a perm opportunity with a located in N Fort Lauderdale, FL. Department: Accounting/Finance Reports To: Controller FLSA Status: Exempt.The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for performing advanced accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role provides key analytical insights, maintains strong internal controls, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s financial integrity and operational success.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & General LedgerPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.Maintain fixed asset schedules and reconcile depreciation.Analysis & SupportAnalyze financial information and prepare reports that summarize financial status.Provide variance analysis and explain fluctuations in revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts.Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.Compliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for accounting procedures and internal controls.Operational & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with operations, HR, procurement, and other departments on financial matters.Assist with process improvements, systems implementations, and automation efforts.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a corporate environment.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks a must).Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) RequiredExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Excellent communication skills and ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.Work EnvironmentFast-paced environment requiring strong prioritization and time-management skills.Compensation & BenefitsComprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, retirement plan).Professional development and continuing education support (CPA, CPE, certifications).About Four Squared Solutions, LLCHeadquartered in Florida, Four Squared Solutions we provide clients with quality staffing solutions.
