Staff Accountant

Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, we are a well-established law firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The Accounting team is expanding and seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join a growing team supporting full-cycle accounting operations within a fast-paced professional services environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who values hands-on financial work collaborative teamwork and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment. This position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000–$85,000.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger maintenance journal entries and complex account reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency
• Support month-end close processes while ensuring all accounting activity is completed accurately and in accordance with firm deadlines and GAAP standards
• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable while maintaining organized and accurate financial records across all active accounts
• Collaborate with the accounting team and firm leadership on financial reporting special projects and ongoing accounting operations within a fast-paced professional environment



Qualifications

• Prior law firm accounting experience required with demonstrated proficiency in full-cycle accounting general ledger journal entries account reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Strong knowledge of GAAP with the ability to apply accounting principles accurately and consistently across all financial functions
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently within a professional law firm accounting environment
