Are you looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience while making a difference? Our nonprofit organization is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to support an exciting accounting software implementation project.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the implementation of a new accounting software system by entering and validating financial data
- Perform high-volume, accurate data entry of accounting and financial records
- Review information for completeness and accuracy before importing into the new system
- Organize, update, and maintain financial records and supporting documentation
- Work with Excel to update spreadsheets, track information, and reconcile data
- Support the accounting team with day-to-day administrative and accounting tasks
- Help ensure a smooth transition during this important organizational project
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or currently pursuing an accounting degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets, and repetitive data entry tasks
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and eagerness to learn
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience is a plus, but not required
- Gain valuable accounting experience in a nonprofit organization

- Develop experience with accounting systems and financial data management
