Job Summary The Clinic Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a private Mohs surgery (dermatology) clinic. They are tasked with ensuring efficient and effective patient care, managing staff, and coordinating administrative tasks. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of medical healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical practice

• Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

• Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

• Coordinate patient scheduling and ensure timely appointments

• Manage billing and insurance claims processes

• Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care

Staff Management:

• Hire, train, and supervise clinic staff, including medical professionals, administrative personnel, and support staff

• Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care

Patient Care:

• Ensure high-quality patient care by establishing and enforcing clinical protocols and standards

• Collaborate with medical professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

Administrative Coordination:

• Oversee the clinic's administrative functions, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals

• Implement and maintain electronic health record systems to ensure accurate and secure documentation

• Liaise with insurance providers to verify patient coverage and facilitate billing processes

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the clinic's budget, monitor expenses, and identify areas for cost optimization

• Collaborate with billing and coding staff to ensure accurate and timely claims submission and reimbursement

• Implement strategies to maximize revenue, such as optimizing appointment scheduling and coordinating with insurance providers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Management, or a related field. Master’s degree (preferred)

• Proven experience in medical office management

• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills

• Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR

• Familiarity with human resources processes and procedures

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
