Salary Range: $15.01 - $19.51/hour This position is scheduled for approximately 8 - 10 hours per week. Hours vary: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 1:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Staff will be scheduled at least two shifts per week. Must be available to work a regular schedule on a year-round basis.

Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties

• Assists with birthday parties in the gymnastics center.
• Cleans and maintains all areas of the facility.
• Monitors activity to prevent injuries, accidents, and responds to emergencies as necessary.
• Enforces all rules and regulations of programs and facilities; ensures that the facility is safe for use.
• Greets the public and is a visible contact for the public.
• Responsible for set-up and takedown of necessary equipment needed for programs or functions.
• Performs regular cleaning, maintenance and safety inspections of any equipment in the facility as directed; takes care of and stores equipment properly.
• Assists other staff members throughout the facility as needed.
• Attends and contributes at in-service training sessions and meetings.
• Ensures that facilities and equipment are maintained properly and coordinates maintenance and repair functions.
• Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and acts accordingly to prevent accidents.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Successful completion of 8th grade.

Experience

• Knowledge of weight room and recreation facility policies/procedures - preferred
• Prior customer service experience - preferred.

Necessary Special Requirements:

New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry.

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Must possess a First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire, and maintained for continued employment.

Working Conditions

• Physical demands are described as medium (exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.)
• Required to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand and is occasionally required to sit, talk, hear, stoop, walk, climb, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, ropes, or control, and reach with hands and arms.
• Physical demands that include but are not limited to lifting, moving and maintenance of equipment, setup and take down of inflatables.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud.
• May require indoor and outdoor activities.
• Will work a varied schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
