Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA)
Location: Markesan, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Full-Time
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living, and Outpatient Services
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Day Shift) with one weekend rotation per month

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to provide high-quality therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The OTA will help patients regain independence in activities of daily living and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving daily living skills, self-care activities, and functional independence.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and activities designed to enhance strength, coordination, and cognitive functioning.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals and home programs.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Wisconsin OTA/COTA license.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
