A nonprofit organization is seeking a trilingual Legal Service Assistant to support Afghan individuals and families with immigration-related services. This role is ideal for someone with experience in refugee resettlement, case management, social services, interpretation, or community outreach who is passionate about helping others navigate complex systems.

Fluency in English, Dari, and Pashto is required.

What You'll Do

• Conduct client screenings and intake appointments by phone and in person
• Gather client information, documents, and signatures
• Assist with preparing immigration forms and applications under the supervision of licensed legal professionals
• Provide interpretation and translation in English, Dari, and Pashto
• Maintain accurate client records and case tracking systems
• Connect clients with additional community and social service resources
• Support immigration education workshops and community outreach events

What We're Looking For

• Fluency in English, Dari, and Pashto
• Experience in case management, refugee resettlement, social services, interpretation, community outreach, or a related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license, reliable access to a vehicle, and proof of insurance
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend events

Prior legal or immigration experience is not required. We welcome candidates with transferable experience supporting immigrant and refugee communities.
