Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing mental health counselors the flexibility to provide services from the comfort of their home while still engaging deeply with clients via telehealth platforms. In addition, team members have access to our outpatient office for in-person sessions as necessary. Our work environment is rooted in collaboration, where counselors can connect with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health evaluations, documenting comprehensive case details from the first consultation through treatment completion.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs of clients.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to client needs.
\n
• Regularly monitor and assess client's progress across therapeutic goals, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and primary care physicians to coordinate care for clients requiring hospital admission or medication management.
\n
• Provide follow-up support to families and caregivers, enhancing their ability to manage mental health challenges among their loved ones.
\n
• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for documentation and progress tracking.
\n
• Stay informed about current developments in psychotherapy and counseling practices, sharing knowledge with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve span a wide range of demographics, including families, couples, and individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Our counseling services are approachable and tailored, employing culturally competent strategies to address the unique needs of our diverse client base, particularly within the vibrant community of North Las Vegas.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess current and valid licensure in the state of Nevada as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health recording systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge about physical and emotional health conditions and an understanding of addiction disorders.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with exceptional interpersonal capabilities.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within an outpatient mental health setting or similar clinical environment preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care.
\n
• Experience in crisis intervention and consultation with community resources and services.
\n
• Familiarity with therapeutic methodologies such as CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
