Accounts Payable Associate

Accounts Payable Associate – San Diego, CA Responsible for administrative management of all aspects of cash disbursements, including vendor invoice verification, payment processing, and ledger reconciliation. Responsibilities Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and enter them into the financial system. Schedule and match payments to suppliers and creditors, ensuring timely disbursements. Process employee expense reports and reimbursements in accordance with company policy and required approvals. Classify and code transactions to appropriate general ledger accounts. Balance and reconcile data from various sources, checking accuracy of vendor invoices or reports. Identify and resolve discrepancies, determining appropriate corrective action. Produce non‑routine reports by gathering information from multiple sources. Provide Accounts Payable administrative support, maintain files, reconcile vendor statements, perform data entry, and prepare check runs. Plan resources efficiently to reduce costs and increase efficiencies. Serve as backup for other Accounts Payable tasks. Prepare month‑end Accounts Payable accruals and reversals for the following month. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, client requirements, contracts, and company policies—including taxes, labor laws, safety, building codes, and environmental regulations. Communicate information respectfully and produce written material appropriate for the intended audience. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree from a two‑year college or technical school preferred. 1‑2 years of accounting or related experience required; designated department experience desired. Compensation California: Salary range $31,777 – $53,071.
