We are partnering with a well-established company in Smyrna, TN that is seeking a dependable AP & AR Specialist to join its accounting team. You'll receive hands-on training, work in a supportive team environment, and have the potential to transition into a long-term position.What You'll DoAs the AP & AR Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting the company's day-to-day accounting operations by:Managing the full Accounts Payable process from invoice receipt through payment processing and general ledger postingReviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices accurately and efficientlyInvestigating and resolving purchase order, invoice, and payment discrepanciesProcessing customer invoices and posting Accounts Receivable transactionsRecording cash receipts, including ACH, lockbox, credit card, and check paymentsMonitoring aging reports and following up on outstanding balancesConducting B2B collections while maintaining professional customer relationshipsReconciling and maintaining corporate procurement card transactionsProcessing and auditing employee expense reportsMatching invoices with supporting documentation and ensuring timely paymentsAssisting with weekly check runs and maintaining organized financial recordsUtilizing ERP systems to support reporting, reconciliations, and accounting activitiesWhat We're Looking ForSuccessful candidates will bring:Previous experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableManufacturing industry experience strongly preferredUnderstanding of general ledger posting and core accounting principlesExperience processing ACH, lockbox, credit card, and check transactionsAbility to research and resolve discrepancies independentlyExperience reviewing aging reports and managing collections activitiesFamiliarity with Epicor ERP preferredIntermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with a teamProfessional communication skills when working with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholdersWhy Consider This Opportunity?Competitive pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hourOpportunity to become a permanent employeeOne-on-one trainingStable, established manufacturing environmentSupportive, easy-going accounting teamVariety of responsibilities that will strengthen your accounting skillsPotential for future hybrid scheduling based on performance and business needsAdditional InformationSchedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PMLocation: Smyrna, TN (fully onsite)Employment Type: Temporary-to-HirePre-Employment Requirements: Background check and 10-panel drug screen, including THC
