Title : Buyer, Senior

Location : Pleasanton, CA

Duration : 5 Month with potential to extend

100% On-Site

Shift : 8AM - 5PM

Responsibilities:

• Manage sourcing and procurement of direct materials, components, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Create and manage purchase orders through ERP/MRP systems.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery, and supply risks.
• Support supplier qualification, audits, and quality compliance.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations on NPI and product changes.
• Manage inventory planning, forecasting, and material availability.
• Drive cost reduction, sourcing strategies, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience in regulated manufacturing (Medical Device, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, etc.).
• Experience with direct materials and contract manufacturers.
• Knowledge of FDA-regulated manufacturing and supplier quality requirements.
• ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Class II/III medical device manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and GMP.
• CPSM, CPM, CSCP, APICS, or similar certifications.
• International sourcing and global supplier management experience.
