School Occupational Therapist | Milton, Delaware

Job Description

Make a difference in students’ lives by providing essential occupational therapy services in an education-focused setting. This full-time, full-year contract position offers a unique opportunity to support school-aged children and collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Utilize your expertise as a School Occupational Therapist to foster students’ growth, independence, and participation in their academic environment. You’ll work closely with teachers, families, and staff to create strategies and interventions that promote student success.

Ideal candidates will have:

Valid OT license and certification in the state or eligibility to obtain before the start date.
Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
Excellent communication skills for interacting confidently with students, parents, and educators.
Strong organizational and documentation abilities for developing IEPs and tracking progress.
A passion for making a positive impact in the educational journey of young learners.

In this role, you’ll:

Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students.
Collaborate with school personnel to integrate therapy strategies into classroom activities.
Deliver direct and consultative therapeutic services in accordance with students’ IEPs.
Provide training and resources for staff and families to enhance student participation.
Monitor, document, and report student progress; adjust interventions as needed.
Stay current with best practices and maintain required documentation.
