Location Avera McKennan Hospital – Night Shift (United States) Position Details Worker Type: Regular Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 72 hours / 2 weeks Pay Range: $32.50 – $48.50 per hour (actual rate depends on experience) Position Highlights Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) 72 hours in 2 weeks schedule Potential sign‑on bonus up to $20,000 Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan, and coordinating with other health‑care providers. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical condition, psychological status, and social factors; conferring with family and other staff. Teach patients and families about health conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; answer questions and provide resources. Evaluate patient care by measuring outcomes against standards, reviewing records, noting changes, and re‑evaluating care objectives. Maintain a safe and healthy care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration protocols, controlled substance regulations, and legal requirements. Document patient care services in patient and department records. Ensure patient care equipment is operating and maintained, troubleshooting breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance. Keep supplies ready by checking stock, ordering, verifying receipt, and stocking items. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership and collaborate effectively in a team environment. Essential Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with active license in the state of practice. Ability to work the specified hours and perform essential job functions with adequate visual acuity and effective communication skills.
