Location Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls Worker Type Regular Work Shift Rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends and holidays (United States of America) Pay Range $24.50 – $48.50 per hour (actual rate depends on experience) Position Highlights RN position may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $15,000. Job Summary The LPN practices under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed physician, or another health‑care provider. The LPN organizes and directs nursing care aspects for which he/she is accountable; communicates and coordinates care with all health‑team members. Licensure Requirements for LPN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing. Active license in the state of practice, required upon hire. What You Will Do Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the health‑care team. Coordinate with other healthcare providers and provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting conditions, conferring with family, and establishing nursing diagnoses. Teach healthcare requirements by instructing patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self‑care skills. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring outcomes. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled‑substance regulations. Document patient care services in charts and records. Keep patient care equipment and supplies operating and ready. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the specified hours. Ability to perform each essential job function, including adequate visual acuity and effective communication. Experience and knowledge to perform the duties satisfied by visual, hearing, and speech abilities. Eligible for reasonable accommodations if needed. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing. Active license in the state of practice, required upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
