Registered Nurse (RN) | Behavioral Health Adult C Unit

Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center - Sioux Falls Work: Regular Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays Pay Range: $32.50 - $48.50 per hour (actual pay depends on experience) Position Highlights Potential Sign‑On Bonus up to $15,000 for nurses with 3+ years of experience. Opportunity to work every 3rd weekend and alternate holidays for experienced nurses. Unit Highlights Adult C Unit: 26‑bed structured therapeutic environment for adults. One RN for 7‑8 patient ratio with flexible scheduling. Student Loan Repayment: $167 monthly up to $10,000 from employer. Unit Mission Provide nursing care by developing nursing diagnosis, establishing objectives, defining interventions, and offering physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. What you will do Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions; communicate the nursing care plan; coordinate with other healthcare providers. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical condition and psychosocial factors, and defining nursing diagnosis and interventions. Teach healthcare requirements through establishing patient care goals and instructing patients and families on medications and self‑care skills. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes. Maintain safe patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication procedures, and legal regulations. Document patient care services in patient and department records. Maintain patient care equipment and supplies, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and place orders. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state of practice. Ability to perform essential job functions, including visual acuity, hearing, and communication.
