Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Behavioral Health Adult C Unit | New Grad

Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: $24.50 – $33.75 per hour, depending on experience About the Position The Adult C Unit is a 26‑bed unit designed to provide a structured, therapeutic environment for adult patients. The unit focuses on helping patients with Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorders, and Suicidal behavior. Eligible nurses will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality care. Responsibilities Collect data and conduct a focused nursing assessment of patients. Participate with other healthcare providers in the development and modification of patient‑centered health care plans. Implement nursing interventions within the plan and evaluate responses. Advocate for patients’ best interests. Communicate and collaborate with patients and team members. Assist with health counseling and teaching. Delegate and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – active state license. Ability to work the specified rotating shift schedule. Visual acuity adequate for job duties and effective communication skills. Commitment to Avera’s mission, vision, core values, and social principles.
