As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter setting. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, conflicts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site policy, and maintain awareness of visitor, resident, and staff activity. Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
