We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a team in North Salt Lake, Utah on a Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for someone who can step in quickly to support day-to-day receivables operations and help maintain timely, accurate financial activity during a contract staffing gap. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with billing, cash posting, and commercial collections, along with a detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:• Process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner to support ongoing billing operations.
• Apply incoming payments to the correct customer accounts and reconcile cash activity with internal records.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with commercial clients to drive prompt payment and reduce aging receivables.
• Review account details for discrepancies, research payment issues, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and customers.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts receivable documentation to ensure reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
• Support daily receivables workflows by assisting with cash applications, account updates, and related administrative tasks.
• Help sustain continuity of operations during contract team absences by managing assigned AR duties efficiently.• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a closely related accounting support role.
• Working knowledge of billing processes, cash application activities, and receivables account maintenance.
• Experience handling commercial collections and communicating professionally with customers regarding outstanding balances.
• Ability to reconcile cash activity and identify inconsistencies with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a dependable, team-oriented work style.
