Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description

The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk is responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining proper financial records related to accounts payable. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely payments and supporting the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Route invoices for appropriate approval in accordance with company policy.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues.
• Maintain accurate and organized AP files and records.
• Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with the month-end close by preparing AP accruals and reports.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience handling approximately 100+ invoices per day in a common ERP system such as SAP or Oracle.
• Ability to use prebuilt vlookups.
• Strong understanding of the AP process and reconciliation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Interest and potential to grow within the department or company.
• Ability to create pivot tables and utilize vlookups.

Work Environment

The position requires working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role is fully onsite for the first 90 to 180 days, with the option to work remotely on Fridays thereafter. The company offers a fast-paced environment and growth opportunities.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
