Position Summary

The Medical Assistant will provide both clinical and administrative support to physicians and healthcare providers within the OBGYN clinic. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Previous OBGYN experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and stock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness
• Administer injections, medications, and perform basic clinical procedures as directed
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care
• Provide patient education and answer routine questions regarding treatment plans and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required
• Previous OBGYN or Women's Health experience preferred
• Strong clinical and patient care skills
• Experience with EMR systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• Day shift hours
