Accounts Payable SpecialistAre you an accounting professional who likes figuring out why something doesn't balance-not just fixing the entry and moving on?ProFast is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in Harrisburg. This role will handle the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable work that keeps our business moving, but we're looking for someone who wants to do more than process transactions.You'll work with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and learn different areas of the accounting function. For someone who's curious, detail-oriented, and interested in building an accounting career, there's room to grow with us.Why You'll Love Working at ProFast:Competitive pay based on experience: $20 - $25Monday-Friday schedule Exposure to broader accounting workCareer growth opportunitiesStable / growing companyCompetitive benefits package 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off Medical, Dental & Disability Insurance Day-to-day ResponsibilitiesProcess purchase order receipts and vendor invoices accurately and timely Match invoices to packing slips and purchase orders and identify discrepancies Work with vendors to resolve invoice issues and obtain missing documentation Review accounts payable activity for accuracy and process vendor payments Record accounting entries and apply customer payments Process monthly corporate credit card expense reports and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records within our ERP system Support Finance team projects, process improvements, and other accounting activities as neededYou'll be successful if you:Notice discrepancies and want to understand what caused them Enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems Take ownership rather than waiting for someone else to resolve an issue Can balance routine transactional work with changing priorities and projects Are curious and interested in learning new areas of accounting Look for ways to make processes work betterOur ideal candidate has:Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered 1+ years of AP, AR, bookkeeping, or general accounting experience Experience with ERP/accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft ExcelAbout ProFastSince 1986, ProFast has been a second-generation, family-owned distributor of roofing and construction products serving customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
