Job Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for executing manufacturing and material handling tasks in a regulated production environment. This role ensures consistent achievement of production targets through operation of equipment, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and compliance with cGMP and quality standards. The operator is also accountable for accurate documentation, product inspection, and maintaining safety and efficiency across the production line.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and perform manual assembly tasks to meet output targets
• Follow SOPs, batch records, and work instructions to ensure compliance with cGMP standards
• Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products for quality and defects
• Perform line clearance, lot changes, and cleaning activities as per defined procedures
• Accurately document production activities in logs, batch records, and systems
• Identify and segregate non-conforming materials and escalate issues appropriately
• Conduct basic troubleshooting, minor mechanical adjustments, and clear equipment jams
• Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow, resolve issues, and improve processes
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies at all times
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction efforts, and team meetings

Required Skills

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, percentages)
• Mechanical aptitude for operating and troubleshooting production equipment
• Ability to maintain accurate and compliant documentation
• Understanding of quality standards and defect identification
• Team collaboration and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly environments
• Exposure to regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or food processing
• Familiarity with cGMP, SOPs, and quality systems
• Experience with ERP/MES systems for production tracking and documentation
• Prior work in cleanroom or controlled environments

Education Requirement

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
