WesTex Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing teams in Midland, Texas and Andrews, Texas.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, X-rays, and EKGs
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, and other in-office procedures
• Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT physicals and Workers' Compensation evaluations
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Document patient encounters accurately using Athena EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Active Texas NP or PA license
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• Board Certified (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
• DOT Medical Examiner Certification is a plus but not required
• Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Family Practice providers with strong acute care experience are encouraged to apply
• Exceptional new graduates with strong emergency or acute care clinical rotations will be considered
