Electrician, Licensed - Full Time - 5 Story

The Electrician, Licensed performs building maintenance and repair work, and responds to the corrective needs of electrical equipment, and system components.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Test emergency generators, and conditioning and heating systems.

• Maintains and repairs circulator and sump pumps, refrigeration units, fans, and other electrical equipment.

• Installs lighting fixtures and other electrical apparatus.

• Test circuits for continuity and overloading.

• Conducts fire alarm tests and participates in the movement and installation of machinery and equipment.

• Evaluates equipment performance using instruments, such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.

• Works from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring and equipment.

• Maintains records, prepares reports, and orders supplies and equipment.

• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required

Certification and Licensing:
Valid license from Miami Dade County | Valid State of Florida Driver’s License required
