We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a growing team in Avon, Ohio on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This onsite opportunity is ideal for someone who brings hands-on experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and reconciliations, along with the initiative to step in where support is needed most. The role offers the chance to contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment while building toward long-term career growth.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including applying payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and supporting collection efforts.
• Process accounts payable transactions accurately by reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and maintaining organized financial records.
• Perform billing-related tasks to help ensure customer invoicing is completed on time and reflects accurate account details.
• Reconcile account activity regularly and investigate discrepancies to support accurate month-to-month financial reporting.
• Use Excel to organize financial data, track transactions, and prepare reports that support accounting operations.
• Take initiative in identifying priority work, addressing gaps in workload, and assisting the team where immediate support is required.
• Collaborate with accounting team members in a small, onsite office environment to maintain smooth daily workflow.
• Assist with operational accounting needs during periods of team transition and changing workload demands.• At least 2 years of accounting experience with exposure to both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and financial data.
• Practical experience with billing processes and account reconciliation activities.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and respond quickly to shifting priorities.
• Efficient and proactive in identifying and completing needed work.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and documentation.
• Comfortable working onsite Monday through Friday.
