Work Environment

You will work onsite at our advanced rehabilitation facility located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in a collaborative environment designed for optimal patient comfort and recovery. Our facility is equipped with the latest technology and tools necessary for effective treatment, emphasizing a supportive team dynamic where best practices in therapy are shared and practiced. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional lifestyle while further promoting patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and set achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans employing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to promote recovery.
• Manage a steady patient load, providing focused attention on one patient per hour to ensure quality and comprehensive care.
• Utilize manual therapy skills and develop effective exercise routines tailored to each patient.
• Document patient care services meticulously, ensuring accurate records to monitor progress and treatment effects.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient treatment outcomes.
• Evaluate treatment progress consistently, adjusting care strategies as needed to optimize patient engagement and outcomes.
• Educate patients on wellness and rehabilitation methods to promote a healthy lifestyle post-treatment.
• Motivate and encourage patients at every stage of their rehabilitation to enhance compliance and functional outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population primarily consists of individuals with orthopedic conditions, often supported by private medical insurance. You will encounter a diverse range of cases, from sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation, requiring a mix of problem-solving skills and empathetic patient care. Our commitment to individualized care ensures that each treatment plan is tailored to accommodate the unique needs of every patient.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Lynchburg, Virginia, with no disciplinary actions against your professional license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and experience in developing effective, custom exercise programs.
• Competence using electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.
• Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy settings, enhancing your ability to quickly assess and treat patients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
