This announcement is for a Administrative Officer GS-0341-14, to clear ICTAP/CTAP priority lists. It is only open to current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the ICTAP/CTAP. Major Duties This position serves as the Chief of Administration and Business Management for the South Florida National Parks & Preserve (SOFL) group, reporting to the Senior Executive Service (SES) Superintendent of Everglades and Dry Tortugas National Parks. The incumbent serves on the park management teams for Everglades and Dry Tortugas National Parks, Biscayne National Park, and Big Cypress National Preserve, and is a member of SOFL Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This position manages a wide-ranging and complex portfolio of administrative and business functions, with oversight responsibility for the parks' policy, personnel, budget and finance, procurement, commercial services, information technology, and property functions. With assistance of a subordinate Deputy Chief of Administration, the position oversees the work of approximately 30 federal employees and an operating budget of roughly $4 million annually. The incumbent is the principal advisor and management consultant to the Superintendents and park management teams for administrative matters and is responsible for guiding decisions toward effective management of the parks' business. The incumbent works closely and regularly with the Superintendents and program managers to administer a combined $32 million in annual operating funds and an additional $40+ million in programmatic authorities and annual revenues among the four park units.
