Operations Support Specialist

Overview WTR Search - Renewables has partnered with an industry-leading energy company to locate a traveling Operations Support Technician . This position is based in Texas and will require travel up to 90% of the time to support other wind farms in the region. Relocation assistance is available. This position works alongside a team of highly trained professionals to maintain wind facilities with a strong focus on major component replacement and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities Perform assembly, commissioning, troubleshooting, retrofitting, and maintenance for optimal performance Travel to other company sites in the region to perform specialized repairs and major component exchanges Maintain strict safety protocols, including hazard assessments and PPE compliance Provide Root Cause Analysis support for diagnosing equipment failures and ensuring regulatory compliance Tool and documentation management to maintain efficiency and adherence to industry standards Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and/or retrofit low to medium-voltage electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components/equipment associated with wind turbines and the wind farm Perform preventative maintenance activities safely and efficiently on wind turbines and associated equipment located on the wind farm Requirements Three or more years of hands-on experience as a Wind Technician Hands-on expertise with major turbine components, rigging, and various hand/power tools Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills Flexibility to work overtime and on rotating shifts as required Maintain required training certifications and qualifications Ability to safely travel to the wind farm within 45 minutes in the event of an emergency Comfortable with travel (50%–85%), working at heights, and managing adverse weather conditions Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and eligibility for a U.S. passport #J-18808-Ljbffr
